Overview

At Blok, we’re building the simulation engine powering the next generation of adaptive software. Our multi-agent system predicts how different types of users will respond to digital experiences before any code is shipped. Product teams use Blok to simulate onboarding flows, test risky design changes, and de-risk product bets without waiting weeks for live traffic.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong DevOps experience to help scale our platform and infrastructure. You'll own the backend systems that power our agentic simulations, ensuring they’re fast, reliable, and secure - as well as the tooling that helps ML researchers ship models into production.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

• Own the design and development of core backend services
• Architect systems for distributed simulation orchestration, task queues, and ML model inference
• Lead our DevOps efforts: CI/CD pipelines, infra-as-code, observability, logging, and secure deployments
• Manage GPU workloads and model-serving pipelines
• Optimize system performance for fast, concurrent simulations across agents and clusters
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers and researchers to productionize models and internal tools

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Have 6–10+ years of experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer
• Have scaled production systems - preferably in AI, data-heavy, or realtime environments
• Are comfortable working across infra, orchestration, and dev tooling, not just APIs
• Can build fast, debug deeper, and love automating away toil
• Bonus: experience managing GPU clusters, agent-based simulations, or ML infra
